Since 1912, the company BOPP LEUCHTEN GmbH in Limbach in the Odenwald has been producing and selling residential lamps for the German and international market. In the course of time, the rural community of 5,000 inhabitants in the Neckar-Odenwald district (Baden-Württemberg) had developed into a centre of the lighting industry in Germany with 4 luminaire manufacturers in the meantime. BOPP LEUCHTEN GmbH with its subsidiary ESCALE has succeeded in picking up on market developments and setting new impulses with product and design innovations. In the meantime, the company is the only remaining luminaire manufacturer in the entire community. As a medium-sized family business - now in its 3rd generation - the company employs around 80 people and manufactures high-quality residential luminaires and lighting objects on a handcrafted basis. Contrary to the trend in the German lighting industry, which has shifted most production abroad in recent years, the company sees its future precisely in the production of goods at its headquarters in Germany! This is the only way to meet customers' expectations of products "Made in Germany". Short distances to regional suppliers, if possible, ensure the highest product and service quality. The preservation of jobs in a structurally weak environment and the associated responsibility for the employees are also the basis of the company's actions.
