Ingo Maurer Kokoro
Ingo Maurer Kokoro floor lamp
The Ingo Maurer Kokoro is a floor light that belongs to the lighting family of MaMo Nouchies. The name MaMo Nouchies is composed of the surnames of the designers Maurer, Dagmar Mombach and Isamu Noguchi. Maurer and Mombach created the Kokoro like most other lamps of the MaMo Nouchies series 1998, after they were inspired for the form of the works of the Japanese sculptor Isamu Noguchi. The shade of this floor lamp differs from the other shades in this series in that is is made of red paper. Each shade is individually folded and pulled in several work processes and brought into its final shape, so each lamp is unique. Through the shade, the light is radiated in all directions without any glare. Above the shade an adjustable mirror in the heart shape is placed that reflects the light additionally to the ceiling or wall. The brightness of the floor lamp can be dimmed by a dimmer with slider on the cable.
