Catellani & Smith Gemma candlestick change thinking about a typical lamp. In our technical worlds of today one automatically expects a luminous body run by electricity when hearing the term "lamp". However, the series guides us back to our roots as the light is created in its most natural way through the shine of a simple white candle put into a creative candle holder.
As usual for Catellani & Smith, these candle holders are hand-made out of natural materials far away from manager stress, sales pressure and industrial mass production. The circular reflector disc which is 30 cm in diameter, is offered with the surface being gold-plated, silver-plated or in a white lacquered version. This reflector disc is attached to a lamp stand or a wall mounting out of raw waxed iron.
Catellani & Smith has a table lamp (Tavolo) as well as a wall lamp (Parete) on offer out of this series. Create atmospheric highlights in your living environment by combining these timeless beauties. Please note that candle and drip catcher are inclusive with these lights.
The candle can be replaced at any time without difficulty for the Gemma Parete and for the Tavolo.
The Gemma series differs from other candlestick series of Catellani & Smith mainly by the high holder for the wax candle.
