Ingo Maurer Gaku
Ingo Maurer Gaku Table light
The Ingo Maurer Gaku is produced in elaborate handwork according to a traditional Japanese technique, so each piece is unique. Ingo Maurer and his team as well as Dagmar Mombach designed the light as early as 1998. The work of Japanese sculptor Isamu Noguchi served as inspiration. The initial letters of the three artists Maurer, Mombach and Noguchi combine to the name of the MaMo Nouchies lighting series, of which this table light is a part. All lamps in this series have shades made of paper, which are elaborately worked. Besides the Gaku, other lamps from the MaMo Nouchies collection are also available. The lampshade is pulled into its final shape in several operations and folded. The light is emitted glare-free into the room by the folded paper and at the same time to a small part also upwards. A dimmer with slider is integrated on the cable. The cable of the lamp has a length of 350 cm.
