Ingo Maurer Poul Poul
The Ingo Maurer Poul Poul is one of the lamps of the German lighting manufacturer from the MaMo Nouchies series. The shades of all lamps from this collection are elaborately crafted using traditional Japanese textile dyeing techniques. The lampshade is folded and pulled in up to eight working processes until the final state is reached. This makes every lamp in this series unique. The MaMo Nouchies were designed by Maurer and Dagmar Mombach in the year of 1998. The work was inspired by Isamu Noguchi, a Japanese-American sculptor who also created designs for public spaces and monuments. The name of this lamp series was composed of the initial letters of the surnames of the two designers and the artist who was the source of inspiration. The Poul Poul spreads diffuse, glare-free room light. A dimmer with slider is included on the cable, with which the floor lamp can be dimmed infinitely.
